The House of Broken Bottles

Empty halls and shattered frames. I learned to run before I knew my

name. Cigarette smoke, the lullaby I knew. In a house

where love could never break through. Ashes in the carpet,

bottles on the floor. Every slammed door felt like a war.

I tried to hide beneath the noise. But fear became my only voice.

Mama's hands shook, Daddy's rage burned bright. Monsters came alive in the dead

of night. I swore someday I'd break these chains. But the poison

still runs through my veins. I'm not the sum of your mistakes.
