The Hundredth Tiger’s Revenge

You absolutely cannot cheat death even if you are a literal king. This guy,

the Tiger King, was told by astrologers that the hundredth tiger he met would end his life.

So, naturally, he decided to hunt down and kill exactly one hundred tigers

just to prove them wrong. He slaughtered ninety-nine real beasts, and when he couldn't

find the last one, his terrified staff faked the kill just to calm him down. The King thought

he had won, but here is the insane twist. He bought a cheap, wooden toy tiger

for his son’s birthday. A tiny splinter from that wooden toy pierced his hand,

caused a fatal infection, and killed him. The prophecy was right; the hundredth tiger took his revenge.
