Your computer is gaslighting you into thinking it can multitask. It is actually doing
one single thing at a time, but it uses a trick called process abstraction to fake it.
Every time you click an app, the OS builds a process with its own memory and ID.
Since the CPU can only handle one active process, it rapidly switches between them,
saving the exact state in a Process Control Block before moving to the next. It is like a juggler
handling twenty balls but only touching one at a time. Basically, your operating system
is just a really stressed-out micromanager trying to keep everything from crashing.
