The Illusion of Continuous Self

You are not one continuous person moving through time. Einstein's theory of relativity suggests

the universe is a static, four-dimensional block where the past,

present, and future all exist at once. The flow of time is just an illusion.

This means you aren't a single being on a journey. Instead, your consciousness

is a series of separate, instantaneous "mental slices." Each slice is a frozen moment containing

your current thoughts, feelings, and even your memories of a past. The feeling of being

a continuous self is just an illusion created within each individual, static slice of

consciousness.
