You are technically just a temporary storage unit for carbon and nitrogen. Ecology isn't just
looking at trees, it is the study of how every single living thing is locked in a chaotic
relationship with the environment. The sun blasts energy at us, plants capture it,
and we steal it. But here is the catch. Energy flows one way and runs out,
but matter has to be recycled. That soil outside isn't just dirt, it is full of bacteria
and fungi turning death back into life. If we break these cycles,
the whole system collapses, so treat the soil like your life depends on it because it
actually does.
