Algeria would still be French today with native Algerians stuck as second-class citizens.
French settlers would control all politics, all land, and every major
resource in the country. Arabic and Amazigh would slowly vanish from classrooms
and government offices, replaced entirely by French as the sole official language. The massive oil
and gas reserves discovered in the Sahara would fill French coffers, not Algerian ones.
Sure, roads and infrastructure might improve in major cities, but the wealth gap
would explode. Native Algerians would face restricted jobs, zero political power,
and constant discrimination in their own homeland. Schools would teach French history while erasing local heritage.
