The Last Walk Through the Halls

Standing in the hallway for the last time hit different than I expected. Twelve years of

walking these same floors and suddenly it's over. I watched my best friend cry at her

locker, not because she's sad to leave, but because she realized we'll never

all be together like this again. Our whole lives have been structured around this building,

these people, this routine. Tomorrow there's no class to go to, no lunch table that's

ours, no inside jokes in the back row. I'm not ready to let go of the version
