The Lion and the Mouse

Once upon a time, there lived a mighty lion who ruled the forest.

After his meal, the lion lay under a tree and fell fast asleep.

A little mouse noticed him and thought it would be fun to play.

He climbed up the lion's tail and slid down again, laughing with joy.

Suddenly, the lion woke up with a loud roar, angry and frightened.

He caught the mouse under his huge paw. The mouse could not escape.
