The Listener's Last Call

They called him The Listener. He never touched his victims—he whispered. At 2:17 a.m.,

the phone would ring. “I’m standing behind you.”Then details only a shadow could

know. No threats. Just presence. Victims were found untouched,

hearts burst from terror, mouths frozen mid-scream.Every phone showed one last call—made by

the victim—to a number that didn’t exist. As if fear itself was calling back.
