The Price of Ignored Freedom

The frogs of Frogland lived freely, but freedom bored them. With no leader and

nothing to do, they spent their days complaining. “We need a king!” they croaked.

“Someone powerful! Someone exciting!” So they begged Jupiter, ruler of the gods, for a king.

Jupiter, tired of their whining, dropped a giant log into their pond. THUD.

The frogs panicked at first… but soon realized the log didn’t move. Didn’t speak.

Didn’t rule. Within days, the young frogs were using it as a diving board.

The older ones sat on it to complain even more. “This king is useless! Give us a real one!”

So Jupiter sent them a crane. Tall. Sharp-beaked. Hungry.
