The Punishment of ‘Ād

The people of ‘Ād looked at the cloud approaching their valley, fully convinced

it would bring them rain. <break time="0.8s" /> But Allah revealed in His Book that this was not

a cloud of mercy — it was the beginning of their punishment. <break time="0.8s" /> As the cloud drew

closer, a violent wind began to rise from within it. It carried a force

unlike anything they had ever felt before. <break time="0.8s" /> Allah describes it as

a furious, destroying wind — a wind that left nothing it touched

except that it reduced it to ruins. <break time="0.8s" /> Day after day, and night after night,

the wind struck them continuously, for seven nights and eight days, without relief. <break time="0.8s" />
