The Resurgence of Faith in Modernity

Everyone predicted that modern society would kill religion, but it actually just forced it to

rebrand. Back in 1648, the Peace of Westphalia stripped the church of its political

power, turning faith into just another category alongside law and science.

But instead of vanishing, religion pivoted. It shifted from strict institutions to personal spirituality

and exploded globally. This triggered a massive clapback called fundamentalism. From American Protestants

to Islamic movements, groups are now rejecting modern changes to defend what they see as the absolute,

original truth. We aren't witnessing the death of faith, just a fierce battle for its soul.
