The Rise of the Selfie

Hey twin today i'll be talking about the word of the year selfie. It was picked in

the year 2013 which is the most tuff year. Selfie means taking a picture of yourself as a self-portrait.

It's etymology is self and then they added -ie making selfie. The first selfie

was taken by Robert Cornelius in 1839. However, the term selfie was first recorded

much later, in 2002, on an Australian online forum, where a man named

Nathan Hope posted a picture of his injury with the caption, "sorry about the

focus, it was a selfie". Selfie was picked as the word of the year in 2013 due

to a massive 17,000% increase in its usage. That number is so massive chat.
