Getting your blood drawn isn't random—there's a secret color-coded order, and messing it up
ruins the test. We use a mnemonic: "You Like Really Good Looking Guys." That's Yellow,
Light Blue, Red, Green, Lavender, and Gray.
Each tube has a different additive for specific tests, from clotting to glucose levels.
Also, that tourniquet can't stay on for more than one minute, or it will mess
up your results. And once the blood is in the tube, we gently mix it, never shake it.
Shaking destroys the blood cells. It's not just about poking a vein; it's a precise science.
