Water doesn't always boil at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. That number is only true at sea level.
If you're in Denver, which is a mile high, water boils at 203 degrees.
And on top of Mt. Everest? It boils at a lukewarm 167 degrees. It’s all about pressure.
This is also why "hot" and "cold" are totally subjective. After weeks of -20 degree weather,
30 degrees feels like a tropical vacation. It’s not about the amount of heat,
but the intensity. The ultimate level of no heat is absolute zero, or -460 F,
where all molecular motion just stops.
