The Story of Creation and Redemption

The Old Testament tells the story of God creating the world and humans, who then disobey

Him and bring sin into the world. Even after the fall, God promises hope. As sin spreads,

God sends a flood but saves Noah and his family. Later, God chooses Abraham’s

family to be His people. The Israelites become slaves in Egypt, but God rescues

them through Moses and leads them toward the Promised Land, giving them His law and living among

them through the tabernacle. After settling in the land, Israel is led by

judges and later by kings. Some kings follow God, but many do not,

and because of continued disobedience, the nation is conquered and the people are sent into exile.
