The Strength of Forgiveness

Assalamu Alaikum, kids! Welcome back. Honest question: If someone hit you

or threw a rock at you, what is the first thing you would want to do?

You’d probably want to hit them back, right? Or yell at them? Today,

the Prophet (ﷺ) shows us what a Real Hero does when people are mean to him.

'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I can still recall as if I am seeing

the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) resembling one of the Prophets whose people scourged him and shed his

blood, while he wiped blood from his face, he said: "O Allah! Forgive my people,

because they certainly do not know". Al-Bukhari and Muslim Riyad as-Salihin, 36
