The Struggle of Learning Math

The most relatable struggle in the world is spamming the start over button on a math assignment

at nine at night. Look at this Khan Academy log. It is Tuesday night and Isabella is

in the trenches fighting independent versus dependent variables. 9:02 PM start over.

9:09 PM start over. 9:10 PM start over again. She reset this specific exercise five times

in barely fifteen minutes. That is the definition of academic grit mixed with pure

frustration. We have all been there just staring at the screen waiting for it to make sense.

But she came back the next day and kept going. That is how you actually learn.
