Long before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah saw Him. Not crowned with
glory — but acquainted with grief. Isaiah wrote: “He was despised
and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.”
Jesus did not come to be served. He came to serve. He healed the sick. He welcomed children.
He touched the untouchable. He loved the unlovable. Yet He was misunderstood. Mocked. Abandoned.
Jesus Himself said: “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,
and to give His life as a ransom for many.” When the time came, He did not resist
arrest. He did not call down angels. He did not defend Himself with force.
