Your nervous system is literally built like a tree growing inside your back. It starts deep in
the spinal cord where tiny rootlets bunch up to form massive roots. These guys have
strict roles. The front roots are the movers, blasting signals to your muscles
so you can actually move. The back roots are the feelers, dragging sensations
up to your brain, and they even have a little bump called a ganglion. They eventually
crash together to form the spinal nerve trunk, a mixed superhighway carrying both traffic
types at once. Then it splits into branches that wire your whole body, proving nature just
loves reusing a good design.
