The Unseen Locksmith

At 2:17 a.m., Aarav’s phone buzzed with a notification: “Front door unlocked.” He frowned.

He lived alone. Heart racing, he checked the security app—no motion detected. Maybe a glitch,

he thought, and locked the door remotely. The phone buzzed again.

“Front door unlocked.” This time, there was a photo attached. It showed Aarav

standing in his hallway, phone in hand, staring at the screen. The timestamp was

2:18 a.m. His breath caught. Slowly, he raised his eyes from the phone.

The hallway mirror reflected an empty space behind him. Then his phone vibrated one last time.

“Front door locked.”
