The Wannsee Conference and the Final Solution

It took just 90 minutes for high-ranking Nazis in a luxury villa to coordinate the murder of 11

million people. This was the 1942 Wannsee Conference, where the "Final Solution" became

official policy. It was the code name for the planned genocide of all European Jews.

The system was already in motion with mass shootings, but this meeting expanded it.

Trainloads of men, women, and children were sent to killing centers like Auschwitz.

They were forced into gas chambers disguised as showers. By the end of the war,

six million Jews were murdered, not for anything they did, but simply for being

born Jewish.
