Cell division happens every single second in your body and you probably never think about it.

Mitosis is the process where one cell becomes two identical cells and it follows precise steps every time.

First the DNA copies itself inside the nucleus. Then the chromosomes line up right down

the middle of the cell like soldiers in formation. Next those chromosomes get pulled apart

to opposite sides by tiny protein fibers. The cell then pinches in half creating

two new cells with the exact same genetic information. Your body uses mitosis to grow,
