From Rebellion to Constitutional Chaos

The United States government only exists because a bunch of angry farmers almost burned it

down during Shays' Rebellion. That chaos proved the first system was a total failure,

so we pivoted to the Constitution. To stop any future tyranny, they split power

three ways and added the Bill of Rights so the government couldn't touch your basic freedoms.

Now we are stuck in a marble cake system where state and federal rules mix,

and parties fight over everything from taxes to healthcare. And thanks to Citizens United,

corporations can spend unlimited cash on elections because apparently money counts as

free speech now.
