Thorn and Fire, I Ride

Bare feet on black soil. Ash on my tongue. Old words in

my mouth, I don't know their meaning. But they hum. Campfire circles,

shadows wear my face. Every fear I buried, dancing in the

flame's embrace. Names that used to choke me, rises sparks and fade.

I feel my heartbeat answering the drums the dusk has made.

Thorn and fire, blood and breath. I've been running from myself like it was death.

Now the courage comes from the cracks inside. I face my

demons, I don't run. I ride. Moon hangs crooked
