Timo the Tree Who Wouldn’t Share

In a bright green meadow, just beyond a small village, stood a big old

tree named Timo. Timo was the tallest tree in the meadow. His branches were wide,

his leaves were shiny, and his roots went deep into the earth. Every morning,

the sun smiled at Timo first. “Good morning, Timo!” the sun would say.

Timo liked that. He liked being first. He liked being special. But Timo had one problem.

He did not like to share. Birds often tried to sit on his branches. “No,

no!” Timo would shake. “These branches are mine!” Squirrels wanted

to store nuts in the holes of his trunk. “Go away!” Timo said.
