Your encrypted data has a secret fingerprint that can reveal if you're using Tor.
Everyone assumes encrypted traffic is just random noise, but this research proves it's not.
Scientists took encrypted data from Tor and eight other normal apps, like browsers and
chat. They didn't decrypt anything. Instead, they just analyzed
the patterns within the scrambled data itself, counting how often each character appeared.
They fed these character counts into a machine learning model. The AI learned to spot the unique
signature of Tor's encryption. It successfully distinguished Tor from regular encrypted
traffic with over 90% accuracy.
