Transactional Analysis: Talk to the Adult

Most arguments happen because you are talking to the wrong version of a person. This is the secret

of Transactional Analysis. Inside your head, there are three distinct ego states

battling for control. You have the critical Parent who follows rules, the emotional Child

who just wants to play or rebel, and the rational Adult who deals with facts.

When your boss talks down to you like a Parent, your brain naturally wants to snap back

like a rebellious Child. That is a crossed transaction, and it kills communication.

To win, force yourself into the Adult zone. Ignore the tone, focus on the data,

and you basically unlock a cheat code for human interaction.
