Triangle Solving Made Easy

There's a secret flowchart to solve any triangle, and it's easier than you think.

First, always draw it out and label what you've got. If you have a matching

pair—an angle and its opposite side—it's Sine Law time. Got two sides with the angle squished

between them, or all three sides? That’s a job for the Cosine Law. And don't forget,

if it's a right triangle, SOH CAH TOA is your best friend. Just watch out for

the tricky case: two sides and a non-contained angle can sometimes give you two different
