A contract is legally binding the second you mail your acceptance, even if you immediately regret it.
It’s called the Mailbox Rule, and there are no take-backsies. But not every promise
is a real offer. A lawyer on TV saying, "I'll pay a million bucks to anyone who can do this,"
isn't a contract—it's just hype. And if you accept a job offer but change the start
date, you’ve actually just rejected their offer and made a new one.
Your acceptance must be a perfect mirror image. So that handshake deal you made?
If the price wasn't clear, you probably have nothing.
