Electricity is basically just friction that we tricked into doing work for us. Think of a wire
like a water pipe. Voltage is the pressure pushing the water, and resistance is how skinny that
pipe is. If you use copper, the electrons flow like a waterslide, but if you use rubber,
they hit a brick wall. This balance is called Ohm’s Law, and it rules everything
in your house. But here is the scary part most people miss. If you force too
much current through a resistor that’s too small, it doesn't just fail,
it literally catches fire. Always check your wattage ratings or you might accidentally
build a smoke machine.
