Not all stress is bad for you. There's actually good stress called eustress that boosts
your performance and makes you feel alive. Think about the butterflies before
a first date or the adrenaline before a big game. That's the good stuff.
But when stress becomes excessive, it turns into distress, leading to burnout and declining health.
Here's the key: when facing stress, you have two moves. Problem-focused coping means you
tackle the issue head-on with solutions. Emotion-focused coping helps you manage your feelings
about it. And stress comes in three flavors: acute stress from sudden events,
anticipatory stress from worrying about what might happen, and chronic stress that just won't
