What the fuck is your vagus nerve and why is every wellness bitch on social media suddenly

obsessed with stimulating that shit? Here's the deal. Your vagus nerve is the longest cranial

nerve in your stupid body - literally called "vagus" which means "wandering" because this motherfucker

travels from your goddamn brain all the way down through your neck, chest,

and into your gut like some sort of fucking highway between your brain and every major

organ you've got. About 80% of this bitch is afferent fibers sending information UP to your brain,

and 20% is efferent sending commands DOWN to your organs. Now here's the wild part - your vagus

nerve is basically the main boss of your parasympathetic nervous system, which is the chill-the-fuck-out
