Unmasking My True Self

I discovered my reflection was lying to me for thirty years. Every morning I'd

brush my teeth staring at this person who looked confident, put-together, successful.

But inside I felt like a fraud wearing someone else's life. The breaking point came during my daughter's

graduation when she thanked me for being her role model. I realized I'd been performing happiness

so long I forgot what genuine joy felt like. That night I sat in my car crying,

finally meeting the real me underneath all those layers of expectations. The woman in the
