When Care Becomes Micro-Control

Then comes, you notice micro-control disguised as care. It almost never starts with something

you can call abuse. It starts with something you're supposed to appreciate, a check-in,

a joke, a little comment wrapped in sweetness. The kind of thing that,

if you react to it, makes you look dramatic. "I just worry about you.

I just don't trust other people around you. I'm just being honest. I'm just trying

to protect what we have." And if you've ever been someone who second guesses yourself,

that wording is dangerous, and because it doesn't sound like control, it sounds like love

with a serious face, but you learn to watch what happens next. Does their care
