When Love Turns to Guilt

Falling out of love feels exactly like the slow death of a favorite song. You used to loop

it nonstop, but now you just skip it every time it comes on. That’s where I’m

at. Somewhere between her asking about my day and me saying fine again,

I realized I wasn't in it. I love her, sure, but I'm not in love.

I keep replaying old memories like evidence that I'm not a monster, but the guilt is

eating me alive. The worst part is I’m sitting right next to her, yet I’d rather text

you guys than look her in the eye.
