Brick Wall Between the Posts

2025 was the year I became a human brick wall with trust issues and lightning reflexes.

As a pro goalkeeper in the Netherlands, I learned that standing between two metal posts while eleven

people try to humiliate you builds character real fast. Every morning started the same way.

Diving onto frozen grass at six AM while my coach screamed about angles like a geometry teacher

having a breakdown. I practiced catching balls traveling at speeds that could decapitate a small

bird. My hands developed calluses on top of calluses. I looked like I

was wearing leather gloves made of my own skin. But being a keeper isn't just about
