Calculating Slope from Points or Table

To determine the slope of a line or the rate of change of a linear function given a table or

points on the line, use the slope formula, y 2 minus y 1 over x 2 minus x 1. the order of these

points doesn't matter, as long as you are consistent with the points you pick. The first x has

to come from the same place you got your first y from.
