Confronted Loud Recording in Silent Library

Am I the a-hole? A girl was FILMING a presentation in the SILENT area of the library so

I asked her to move and she SCREAMED at me that I ruined everything. But wait—

I’m a STEM student. I’m AuDHD. I’m sensitive to noise on a good day but today I

got FIVE hours of sleep because of PTSD and anxiety. I’m exhausted. I ALWAYS work in

the SILENT area of the library. Multiple signs everywhere. “No Talking.” “Silent Area.” Private desks.

There are OTHER areas for group work and recordings. I’ve used them myself for virtual meetings.

Today a woman sits near me and starts RECORDING a video presentation. Talking LOUDER than

normal conversation volume. I can’t concentrate on my lab work. I look around.
