This artist just proved that cartoon physics could actually work in real life and the science
is wild. They took Elastigirl's stretching powers and ran them through actual biomechanics
software. Turns out if human tissue could stretch like that, we'd need a completely
different skeletal system, triple the collagen production, and get this,
our organs would have to be modular and rearrange themselves constantly. The craziest part?
Some deep sea creatures already do this. Octopuses can compress through spaces smaller than their eyeball
because they have no rigid structure. So technically we're not asking if humans could stretch,
we're asking why we evolved to stop.
