A philosopher famous for his strict moral rules might have actually been pro-choice. Kant's ethics are
all about universal laws. You can't make "killing a person" a universal rule.
But for Kant, a "person" has rational autonomy, which a fetus lacks. So,
some argue early abortion isn't breaking his code. On the other hand, Peter Singer’s utilitarianism
asks: what choice causes the least suffering? This view focuses on the pregnant
person's well-being and the real-world impact of forcing a pregnancy. It's a clash between
absolute principles and the messy reality of human lives and well-being.
