Fading into Darkness

The dusk is calling, it's time to fade. No light remains,

just a quiet shade. The embers dim when the silence grows.

A hollow wake, where the cold wind blows. I fought the tide,

'til my soul wore thin. Now strength, the hall was crumbling within.

The shadows sigh, they know my name. No spark to find,

no warmth, no flame. Each step I take seems deeper still.

Time to pay, where the heart grows still. The night rolls on,

and I'm lost in its sway. No path to find, no dawn,
