Ganesha’s Race of Wisdom

Lord Ganesha won a legendary race without taking a single step. Sage Narada brought

a magical mango of wisdom, but there was only one. To decide who gets

it, Ganesha and Kartikeya had to race around the entire world. Kartikeya immediately

mounted his peacock and flew across continents at lightning speed. But Ganesha did

something unexpected. He simply walked in a circle around his parents, Shiva and Parvati,

then sat down smiling. When asked why he stopped, Ganesha said his parents were his

entire world. They embodied all knowledge and creation itself. By honoring them,

he had circled everything that mattered. Shiva and Parvati declared him the winner.
