I'm Not High, Just Stupified

Lights hung low. The walls breathe slow. They say I was gone,

but I don't know. Smoke creeps under the door. Somebody's screaming for

their mom once more. Eyes roll back, can't feel my face.

Sinking in vomit in this place. My cellmate's laughing, thinks he can fly.

I'm spinning in circles, staring at the sky. Guards banging doors

and tears alive. And I swear to God, man, I ain't high.

I'm not high, I'm just stupified. Running from ghosts in my own mind.

Blood on my shirt, no reason why. I'm not high, I'm just stupified.
