In the Silence of Suffering

Hmm-mm, mm-mm. Lord, where are You as I suffer through

the night? My hands are trembling and my strength is losing fight. I've walked through

valleys where the shadows never end. And though I speak Your name, the silence feels

like stone again. But still I whisper, though the answers are unknown. Lord,

don't leave me walking through this dark alone. I remember stories of Your mercy long

ago. A lonely wanderer called out and You helped him go. A mother crying

for her child and You drew near. A broken prophet in the desert whom You calmed in fear.

So even now when my tears fall without a sound. I trust the way You lift the lost
