Godly ends never justify wicked means. Two men murdered Ishbosheth in his bed,

expecting David's gratitude for removing his rival. Instead, David executed them

for treacherous assassination. Though their crime cleared David's path to united kingship,

he refused to gain God's promises through sinful shortcuts. Righteous character condemns evil even

when it brings personal advantage. We must pursue God's will through godly methods alone—never

compromising integrity for expedient results.
