Japan’s “Rejected” War With Poland

Poland declared war on Japan in 1941 after the attack on Pearl Harbor, standing with its

allies. But Japan straight up refused to acknowledge it. They literally said

no thanks, we don't accept your declaration of war. This actually worked

because the two countries had no way to fight each other. No shared borders,

no navies that could reach each other, nothing. So for the entire war,

Poland and Japan existed in this bizarre state where one side declared war but the other

just ignored it. They technically weren't at war because Japan never accepted. It's the only time
