Jesus Above the Law

Jesus did not submit to the Law. He exercised authority over it. Jesus came in the

priestly order of Melchizedek, not Levi. That alone places Him outside Yahweh’s

legal system. He even refers to the Law as “your law,” not His or His Father’s.

And in the Sermon on the Mount, He repeatedly says: “You have heard it said… but I say

to you.” That isn’t obedience. That’s correction. Jesus didn’t enforce the Law or connect

Himself to Yahweh. He exposed the law's limits—and revealed a higher Father. Learn more in the
