or Dr. Katz — shows with that raw, edgy, MTV-style humor. King of the Hill?

It’s slower, grounded, and character-driven. Its humor and tone really hit their

stride in the early 2000s. That’s when the show found its identity, and that’s why it

feels like a 2000s cartoon, even if it technically started in the late ’90s.
