Your body is running a billion microscopic cities right now and the machinery is absolutely insane.
We literally stole glowing proteins from jellyfish just to watch how this works under a microscope.
Inside every single cell, there are actual highways made of skeletons where
motor proteins walk around carrying cargo like tiny mailmen. It is all controlled
by strict VIP lists, meaning if a protein does not have the right ID badge, it cannot get into
the nucleus. But the craziest part is the kill switch. If a cell gets too
stressed or breaks its own rules, it triggers a self-destruct sequence called apoptosis to save
the rest of you. You are only alive because your cells know exactly when to die.
